Jos-based Afrobeats act SHON keeps the solo lane open as he drops “Lekki Epe (Olombe).”
The single runs two minutes and forty-three seconds, and Shally the Champion handles production. Chuck Bvrz takes engineering duties, while the release arrives under THVNDA DIGITAL and MixNaija Entertainment. It follows his May single “PHILO,” and fans hoping for another solo cut got exactly that.
SHON was born in Kano State but calls Jos home, where he still resides. He has built a steady run of singles, including “Nonchalant,” “HOW E DEY BE (HEDB),” and “Gbadun.” A follow-up, “Lekki Epe (Olombe) II” with Abefe, landed in October, so the idea clearly had legs.
The title points to the Lekki and Epe corridor, giving the song a Lagos setting even though SHON is based in Jos. He sings loose and confident, keeping his vocals close to the beat. Because he carries it alone, his personality fills every section.
