Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist SovT Music steps forward with “OBRA,” a solo single lifted from his “BIG FAITH EP” project.
The record arrives as part of that EP, and it puts him front and centre without a guest alongside him. It is a solo outing, so the weight of the song rests on his own voice. The project carries it, while the single stands on its own.
SovT Music has been building steadily within the Ghanaian scene. His earlier work includes the “MAAME” EP and the “HIDDEN SITUATIONS” album. He has also appeared alongside other acts, including a credit on the “Dear Lord (Remix)” with Curtis Og, Boy Aria, Zeezy and Cojo Rae. That run of releases shows an artist staying busy, but “OBRA” marks a step into the forefront.
For an Afro-fusion act still rising, a solo single on a project like “BIG FAITH EP” says plenty about where the focus now sits.
