Nigerian gospel minister Testimony Jaga is back with a brand new single titled “Oruko Jesu,” keeping his run moving. The song lands via Street Gospel Empire, the imprint carrying his recent work. It also follows his September album “TESTIFY,” so the minister is not slowing down. “Oruko Jesu” means “the name of Jesus” in Yoruba, and the title puts that name at the centre. The record is available now on all major digital platforms.
Testimony Jaga, born Salau Aliu Olayiwola, is known for blending Fuji elements with contemporary gospel music. That mix gives his sound a strong indigenous feel, while his Yoruba lyrics carry the message clearly. He came up as a secular artist working in the Apala style before switching fully to gospel.
Beyond music, he stays active in the Street Gospel Movement, which pairs evangelism with community service. Because of that, his songs often carry a purpose past entertainment. “Oruko Jesu” fits neatly into that mission and his growing catalogue.
