Nigerian gospel singer TY Bello continues her run of worship releases as she drops “Ebenezer” with BisiManuel, Tonye Cole and Theophilus Ogaga. The song serves as the opening piece on her 20-track project I Speak Lamb, and it sets the tone for what follows.
“Ebenezer” arrived on 19 December 2023 under TY BELLO MUSIC, and a version also carries Tonye Cole as the billed feature. The record leans on the Nigerian gospel tradition, because community and shared harmony sit at its centre. Voices trade lines and stack into one another, so the delivery never rests on a single lead.
TY Bello first broke through with the gospel band Kush before building a solo catalogue that includes “Greenland” and “Nobody Else.” She has worked alongside names like Sinach and Nathaniel Bassey, while her recent projects include We Are Fire and The Spirit of Light.
The strength here is restraint. Nobody rushes the melody, yet the harmonies stay tight and deliberate. It makes sense as an opener, since it introduces the album’s collaborative spirit without overstating it.
