Nigerian gospel fans have a new reason to listen as TY Bello drops “Glory to the Lord” with Paul Tomisin and LANRE OLUSOLA. The record arrives as the seventh song on her twenty-track project, I Speak Lamb, and it carries a clear worship focus from the very first bar.
The arrangement builds slowly before the voices take over. Piano and soft percussion hold the low end, while the harmonies stack in layers. “Glory to the Lord” works because the production never rushes the moment. It lets each voice breathe before the next enters.
TY Bello first became popular as a member of the defunct gospel band Kush in the 2000s. She has since built a catalogue that includes “Greenland” and “Nobody Else.” Her label, North Avenue, has backed much of that work over the years.
On this track, the theme centres on giving glory to the Lord who reigns. The phrase repeats through the song, yet the delivery keeps it from feeling tired. Paul Tomisin and LANRE OLUSOLA add depth without pulling focus from the message.
