TY Bello returns with a slow-burning worship moment as “Light My Fire” pairs her voice with DR SOLA FOLA-ALADE. The track sits second on “I Speak Lamb,” part of her double-album project alongside “I Speak Lion.” It is built for the still hours, when a room goes quiet and one song carries the whole service.
The record first surfaced on “Hearts Burn (Spontaneous Worship at Ty Bello’s Vol. 2),” where the two ministers stretched it past the fifty-minute mark. Ty Bello produced the version that later landed on the album, and the credit stays with her. So the song has lived two lives already, yet the album cut keeps the same burning intent.
Her catalogue moves easily between gospel, worship, and the alternative folk colouring of early work like “Greenland.” She came up through the gospel band Kush, and her collaborations read like a who’s who of Nigerian worship.
On “Light My Fire,” the mood is unhurried and prayerful. DR SOLA FOLA-ALADE brings a pastor’s calm, while Ty Bello answers with that hushed, searching tone she is known for. The aim is simple: to leave a listener hungry for more of God.
