Grammy Award-winning South African musician and a renowned singer-songwriter widely known as Tyla comes out with a brand new album project titled “A-Pop.”
Well-structured in terms of body of work, the new album, branded “A Pop”, fuses Afropop, R&B, and worldwide pop elements into one continuous sound. The project doesn’t try too hard to impress. It’s more about mood, melody, and delivery.
She keeps things tight and purposeful over the album. No extra noise, no overproduction, just clean sound and clear instructions. It’s the kind of project you can listen to the entire time and not be overwhelmed.
But what I love most about her is her experimentation with tone, and yet she still retains her sense of personality. It’s either quiet or emotional or a little upbeat, but it’s all still like Tyla.
