South African singer uMzingeli keeps the momentum rolling with “Asbalobole,” a track built around a vocal turn that refuses to sit still. The song sits second on his 2026 project, Kuyophela siyofana, an eight-track body of work.
“Asbalobole” arrives with a feature from Londeka Shangase, and that pairing gives the record its pull. The cut landed in October 2026, so fans have had time to sit with it.
Kuyophela siyofana followed on the same year, and uMzingeli has stayed busy in between. He also put out “Khuluma ubheka,” while his recent catalogue keeps growing.
On “Asbalobole,” the delivery does most of the talking. uMzingeli leans into phrasing that shifts between restraint and release, while Londeka Shangase answers with a counterweight of her own.
The song opens the project early, so it carries the job of setting the tone. But the vocal choices keep it from feeling like a warm-up.
