South African DJ and producer Deejay Zebra SA opens his new album with “S’donko,” the first track off “The Gqom Code.” The cut runs seven minutes and fifteen seconds, and it carries the club-first feel he has built his sound on.
“The Gqom Code” arrived on October 14, 2026, with eleven songs running just over an hour. “S’donko” sits at the top of that sequence, so it sets the mood before anything else plays. No writing or production credits were listed with the release.
Deejay Zebra SA has stayed busy across Gqom, Amapiano, Afro-house and 3-step since he started around 2018. He also linked with Pro-Tee and Dr Dope on “BASS 55,” so his name keeps moving through club circles. His Spotify page currently sits at about 50.2K monthly listeners.
Leading with an instrumental is a bold call, because it asks listeners to trust the rhythm before a hook arrives. Yet the length gives the groove room to build slowly. It also opens the album without leaning on a radio-friendly single.
