German band Wir sind Helden’s song “Von hier an blind” has returned to the chart at No. 6, its highest position ever, according to the report.
The track first charted in 2005 at No. 43, then slid down and vanished for nearly twenty-one years. It returned in August 2026 at No. 59 before climbing to No. 6.
The revival arrived through TikTok, where covers and dance clips started multiplying. Judith Holofernes responded with gratitude on TikTok, thanking the people making covers and dances. She said the fact that a new generation has found the song delights her.
Holofernes wrote the lyric when she was young and had already reached the peak she once dreamed of. The song, she has said, was meant to capture the feeling of not being able to see the future at all and still jumping in.
The song did not change. The listeners did.
