Droppah UWS – Eloyi

Droppah UWS – Eloyi

Zambian rapper Droppah UWS has released “Eloyi,” a song he describes as the cry of an unemployed baby daddy. The Ndola-based artist said the track addresses job loss and money pressure.

According to the artist, the song also covers the duty of caring for a family and others who depend on him. He said he does not hide how heavy that feels. The record reads as a confession rather than a polished story, he added.

Droppah UWS said he pleads with God to make things right and open a path forward. He said he keeps working hard while he waits. That mix of pleading and pushing gives the song its hope, he said.

Louder Tha HolyBeast produced the record. The artist said the beat leaves space for the words. He also said the writing stays honest and the delivery carries emotion without turning theatrical.

Droppah UWS said the song goes against the flexing and glamour common in Zambian hip-hop. He said it instead looks at the daily struggles of young people trying to survive.
