Woza Bakzin and GoldMax keep their Gqom In Black run going with “Halmat,” a new cut featuring vocalist Music Kid. The track follows the album’s opening record “Xhoshi Ikati” as the second song on the 14-track collaborative project.
Afrotainment released the record on August 14, 2026. At 4 minutes and 43 seconds, “Halmat” holds the energy from the album opener while pushing its own rhythmic identity.
The production leans fully into the raw Durban Gqom sound. Heavy kicks, rolling drums, deep bass, and repeated percussion form the backbone of the record. So the focus stays on rhythm and movement rather than soft melodies, which gives “Halmat” a strong club-ready feel.
Music Kid brings Zulu vocals into the mix, but he works with short phrases and chopped vocal elements that blend right into the beat. His presence adds texture without pulling focus from the hard-hitting instrumental.
