Zambian rapper Ace Trap has linked up with Natasha Chansa on “Pa Duty,” a romantic Afrobeats record about staying committed to love. The song centres on a man who has found someone he does not want to lose. He makes his feelings clear, showing that his attention belongs to one woman.
Natasha Chansa joins the conversation with her own vocals, giving “Pa Duty” a back-and-forth feel. One interesting part of the song is its use of Zambian language alongside English. The phrase “Nshaka fumepo pa duty” carries the idea of never wanting to leave one’s duty of loving someone. It gives the title a different meaning from what listeners might initially expect.
Muzobeats handled the production, while Kasenga Chisukulu and Natasha Chansa share the songwriting credits. The instrumental supports the romantic theme without taking attention away from the singers. Ace Trap leads the record, but Natasha’s contribution helps complete the story being told.
The official music video also brings the song’s romantic message to the screen. Tim K Pro directed the visual, with scenes filmed at Lush Gardens in Roma and Glochi Events Centre in Chalala, Lusaka. The video production also involved executive producer Japhet Ilunga.
