Akams Bu Afam keeps his momentum rolling as he joins Afam and Rapkid on “Egwu Ara,” a high-energy record built for the dancefloor. The Igbo comedy creator and Afrosounds artist dropped the track on March 30, 2023, and it lands on Audiomack for anyone chasing that street-party feeling.
Afam and Rapkid ride the beat with him here, trading snappy Igbo bars, punchy ad-libs, and refrains that stick after one listen. Behind the boards, the production leans on hammering kick drums, rolling basslines, and snappy percussion shakers. The clean layout gives both performers enough room to work, while the tempo keeps everything moving fast.
His catalogue stretches further than the skits he is known for. Releases like “Ndi Ntu,” “Mbem Ikeji Izuogu,” and “Egwu Valentine” sit alongside his comedy content, so the range is already there. “Egwu Ara” fits that same lane, but with more bounce and a harder edge.
The mood is the selling point. It suits a Friday night, a packed bus, or any gathering where nobody wants the energy to drop. It does not ask for deep listening, yet it still carries enough personality to hold attention.
