Bahati – Uinuliwe

Kenyan music star Bahati returns to gospel with “Uinuliwe,” a thanksgiving single that he released after more than a year away from the scene. He announced it on Instagram, and premiered it at 8 p.m. that evening. In his own words, it had been over a year without a new song.

As his big day approached, he felt he needed to write a gratitude letter to the Lord. So “Uinuliwe” works as a personal thank-you rather than a typical single. The message celebrates God’s faithfulness, protection, mercy, and grace. It gives thanks for strength and guidance through different seasons.

The timing carries extra meaning. Bahati and Diana Marua held their wedding, which he called “The Bahatis’ Big Day,” on Friday, November 6, 2026, after a decade together. The release landed two days before, so the song became a prelude for a major family moment.

It also reconnects Bahati with the gospel roots that first built his career. He spent a long stretch releasing secular music, so the return feels deliberate. He addressed the audience directly in his announcement, speaking to his “Day 1 gospel fans.”
