Nigerian Afrobeats stars Magixx and Shoday reunite on “Ferawa,” a playful love song arriving after their September hit “CHE.”
The follow-up landed on November 5, 2026, under Mavin Records and Canny Consults. “CHE” came first on September 25, with production from Shallythechampion. A preview of that earlier record sparked tens of thousands of TikTok videos within days, so “Ferawa” meets an audience already waiting.
Romance sits at the centre here. The lyrics describe an intense connection and the wish for a special kind of love. Pidgin expressions and cultural references carry the humour, while the tone stays light instead of heavy.
But the voices do the real work. Shoday brings witty, conversational storytelling, and Magixx answers with smooth, soulful melodies. That contrast gave “CHE” its charm, and it returns on “Ferawa.” Together they blend Afrobeats and Afro-fusion without forcing either style.
Both men also have plenty moving. Shoday appears on Peruzzi’s “Inferno” with Zlatan, which is trending too, and Magixx has his album “I Dream In Color” behind him. Because each brings his own momentum, the pairing feels like two active names joining forces.
