Ugandan singer-songwriter Biswanka returns to the airwaves with “Single,” a light Afro-pop record built around leaving single life behind.
Produced by One Blessing, the song finds Biswanka appealing directly to a woman he admires. But instead of heartbreak or tangled relationship drama, he keeps things hopeful. He asks her to give him a chance and become the one who changes his status.
Musically, “Single” settles into a smooth mid-tempo groove. Afrobeats and Ugandan pop influences shape the production, while his emotive vocals keep the performance personal. Yet the song never loses its easygoing feel.
The record also adds to Biswanka’s growing catalogue as he keeps developing his sound within Uganda’s music scene. The Mubende-born vocalist blends contemporary Afro-pop with soulful R&B touches. He has previously released songs including “Ontunulemu” and “Onotwalani.”
With its simple romantic message and accessible sound, “Single” gives listeners another glimpse into where Biswanka is headed.
