Nigerian Afro-fusion singer BNXN has released a new body of work titled “Still In Charge” with plenty of melody. The project lands as listeners keep asking for sticky hooks and clean grooves.
Asake appears on the lively opener “Eja Meja,” while FOLA joins on “Shamaya.” Both guests bring dramatic vocal textures to the tracklist. Behind the boards, the production leans on warm synth chords, snappy percussion shakers, and swinging basslines.
That clean engineering gives room for BNXN’s silky falsetto and conversational cadences. He moves from contemplative musings to breezy party vibes without losing the thread. “Still In Charge” also follows a busy run for the singer.
His earlier projects include “Sincerely, Benson” and the joint EP “RnB” with Ruger. So the demand around him is not new. But this release puts his writing front and center.
