Nairobi-based DJ Perez has released “Amapiano & Afrobeats Party Mix 2026,” blending South Africa’s Amapiano movement with West African Afrobeats sounds.
The mix dropped on July 17, 2026, and pulls together heavy log drums, vibrant percussion, and chart-topping melodies across a nonstop listening experience. DJ Perez, also known as “The International Boy,” builds the project around seamless transitions and dynamic mixing.
He’s been active across East and Southern African DJ circuits, recently appearing in the “Zulu” music video alongside Reiner back in March. His mixing style leans on blending Amapiano, Afrobeats, Naija, Afropop, and Afro-dancehall influences into one energetic package.
The mix features sounds inspired by Asake, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tyla, and DJ Maphorisa, capturing the spirit of African nightlife through carefully selected tracks. DJ Perez balances different regional sounds without letting one style dominate, so the energy stays consistent throughout.
