Nigerian singer Fireboy DML is closing out his fifth studio album with “FIGHTING,” a record that lands at the end of the tracklist. The song is the final cut on “ZUKO!,” which arrived in October 2026, and Ramii handled the production behind the boards.
It rounds out a thirteen-song project, so “FIGHTING” carries the weight of a closer. Ramii’s work fits the album’s blend of contemporary Afropop writing and input from several different producers. The title points to rebellion and resolve, and that mood ties into the album’s inspiration from Prince Zuko, the fictional character known for internal struggle and change. Fireboy has also spoken about the self-awareness and willingness to adapt that shaped this recent creative stretch.
The singer, real name Adedamola Adefolahan, signed with Olamide’s YBNL Nation in 2018. He has moved from national recognition to international fame since his 2019 breakout, and a fifth album marks another step along that path.
Placing this one last makes sense, because closers are where an artist usually states the thesis outright. “FIGHTING” does that for a project built around identity and growth.
