South African DJ and producer DJ Stoks keeps his catalogue moving as he unwraps “Let Love Bloom,” an album built around voices he trusts. The project lands on 14 October, and it pulls Mel Muziq, Goitse Levati and Buxi into the same frame. Each guest carries a different texture, so the record never settles into one lane. That variety is the point, because Stoks builds around his features rather than over them.
“Let Love Bloom” also arrives as an EP in some listings, yet the five tracks hold together as a full listen. “WOZA S’THANDANE” sits second in the running order as the loud collaboration moment. “SOUL & MIND” closes things out, and the sequencing feels deliberate instead of random. There is also “LERATO LA MAFARATLHATLHA,” a single pulled from the same EP.
His range stretches back through “Stoks And Family” and the “Sculptured” project. He once signed with Kalawa Jazmee Records before setting up his own operation. That history explains why he can move between deep house and amapiano comfortably.
Pairing Mel Muziq with Goitse Levati and Buxi makes sense here. Their voices soften the edges of his percussion. It is a simple idea, but it lands cleanly.
