Nigerian singer Femi Vega switches things up on “Oshamo,” a romantic Afrosounds record that reveals a softer side of the artist.
The singer is coming off the attention surrounding “Skeleton,” his street record featuring Zlatan Ibile. However, this new release takes a different route. Instead of the usual street energy, Femi Vega focuses on love and the feelings that come with finding someone special.
“Oshamo” is dedicated to people who have experienced genuine love. Femi Vega uses a more relaxed vocal delivery to express emotions that can sometimes be difficult to explain. The song has a smooth rhythm, making it a suitable choice for listeners who enjoy romantic Nigerian music.
There is also an interesting change behind the artist’s name. Femi Vega was previously known as Playboycasted before adopting his current stage name. His music journey has continued to evolve, and this release gives fans another opportunity to understand the direction he is taking.
The official music video adds another talking point. Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna appears as the leading female character. Her appearance gives the visual a familiar face, especially for viewers who follow Nigerian reality television and entertainment.
