Nigerian singer-songwriter FOLA returns with “Stubborn,” a solo Afrobeats entry sitting at Track 4 on his album “9.”
The song lands on the 14-song project, also called “Striker,” which arrived on October 9, 2026 under Dangbana Republik Records and EMPIRE. Interestingly, “Stubborn” follows “2am in toronto,” FOLA’s collaboration with Davido, so the solo cut sits right after one of the album’s biggest guest spots. That placement matters, because it asks listeners to sit with FOLA alone after a heavyweight link-up.
FOLA, born Afolarin Odunlami, moves between Afro-R&B and Afrobeats. He broke through with “alone” and later dropped his debut album “Catharsis” in September 2025, also through Dangbana Republik. His catalogue includes work with Victony, Ayra Starr, and Bella Shmurda, while his debut featured Young Jonn.
“Stubborn” adds another solo record to a project that mixes personal cuts with star features, and it shows FOLA trusts his own voice enough to carry a track without help.
