American R&B singer Jhené Aiko reunites with Kendrick Lamar on “So Good,” a reflective cut from her album “Westside Whimsy.”
The song arrived with the album on September 11, 2026, and runs just under four minutes. Def Jam released the 20-track project, which is Aiko’s fourth album. Kendrick co-wrote “So Good,” and the two swap verses over a mid-tempo groove.
The reunion carries real history. Jhené appeared on Kendrick’s 2010 mixtape “Overly Dedicated,” and he returned the favour on “Stay Ready (What a Life)” from her 2013 EP “Sail Out.” Outlets call this their first proper collaboration in over ten years.
The mood stays low and unhurried. Aiko’s dreamy approach leaves plenty of space, while Kendrick adds a layer without breaking it. Their styles blend easily, so the record feels familiar yet current.
Other guests on the album include Larry June, Ab-Soul, Tyga, and Ohma. Even so, the Kendrick link draws the biggest interest, because fans waited long for this.
So “So Good” suits a quiet evening, not a loud one. Play it once, then tell us below whether Kendrick’s verse is the part you replayed.
