Nigerian gospel artist John Fadejola returns with a new worship single titled “You Are Worthy,” a follow-up to his September release. The track dropped on October 9, 2026, and it arrives as a single rather than a cut from a larger body of work. Because his 14-track album THE MANDATE came out in August, this one stands on its own.
Fadejola wrote “You Are Worthy” himself, and the single carries his own independent imprint. While he has touched Afro-fusion and modern gospel sounds across his career, this record sits firmly inside the gospel lane. The title speaks to a familiar Christian declaration of God’s worthiness, so the direction stays consistent with where his music has been heading.
His catalogue backs that up. Emmanuel (Esé), Ka Īsā Yah Allāh (You Deserve It), and Know You More all point to a worship-first approach, and Audiomack Gospel featured “You Are Worthy” on its Best of the Week: Inspirational playlist. That early placement should push the song toward listeners hunting for modern African gospel.
The production keeps things simple, letting the message carry the weight. Have you played John Fadejola – You Are Worthy yet? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
