KSG Di Don keeps his busy run going as the Cape Town-based Zimbabwean artist drops “Summer Time” with KiddoTakeOver. The Afrosounds single lands as a bright, party-ready follow-up to his recent singles “Rudo,” “Mamvemve,” and “Pedyo Neni,” and it adds a high-energy chapter to that stretch. Versatility Life Entertainment released it.
“Summer Time” runs two minutes and 26 seconds, so it gets in and out fast. Three writers shaped it: Shawn Sean Marshal Konikere, Munashe Fumhai, and Tinashe Guvava. KSG The Projuicer and KiddoTakeOver co-produced it, while KSG also mixed and mastered it, which keeps the sound tight and consistent.
The mood stays simple. Summer means parties, drinks, and dancing, and the song puts all that into Shona-flavoured Afrosounds. It lands more like a seasonal chant than a deep story, yet that is why it works. The hook is easy to shout, and the groove invites a quick dance.
TikTok has helped the record spread. A dance trend built around the chorus is making the rounds in Zimbabwe, and one lyric video collected over 30,000 likes. The track also passed 22,000 Shazams and reached more than 80,000 plays on Audiomack, strong numbers for a regional release. Fans often search for the lyrics, which shows people are singing along.
KSG Di Don has stayed busy, with earlier hits like “Usatye” and “Hwahwa” behind him. “Summer Time” pairs him with a producer-vocalist who knows how to keep a party moving.
