South African Amapiano heavyweight Masterpiece YVK links Scotts Maphuma, Ceeka RSA and Fezela Mshini on a new dance cut called “Yey Wena Mahn.” The record arrives as club ravers hunt for township bangers built on hard log drum bounce.
Ceeka RSA handles the boards here, and his midtempo arrangement carries real weight. Hammering kick drums sit under crisp metallic percussion shakers, while snappy snare rolls keep the groove moving. Speaker-rattling log drum patterns and a fluid sub-bassline pulse beneath ambient chords, so the low end hits hard. Yet there is still plenty of room for the voices to breathe.
Masterpiece YVK takes the early stretch with his gravelly baritone and seasoned street delivery. Scotts Maphuma and Fezela Mshini come in a little later, dropping bright flows and sharp vernacular punchlines. “Yey Wena Mahn” is built for the party, and the vocal runs match the beat’s energy.
