South African act Natiey Lepaka has released a new record titled “Bjaleni,” featuring five guests on the track’s official credits.
Patron West, Jojo Manjaro, Gallarbas, Steel Bosh and Fuego all appear on the song. The title seems to point to beer in Sepedi, according to the report.
The beat is built on a deep log drum and clean percussion. Bright keys ripple on top while a heavy bass drives the pulse.
Natiey Lepaka opens with a relaxed, cheerful voice, setting the pace for the guests. The features then take turns, each with a different flavour. Some voices run smooth, while others lean rougher and louder.
The lyrics seem to celebrate drinks, friends and good times. The chorus gives the crowd something to shout back.
Five guests could turn a track into a mess, but the groove keeps everyone in line. It plays like a tavern table where everybody gets a turn to talk.
