“Uthathekile” arrives as the closing statement on Obhuti bendawo’s six-track Maskandi album “Never Loses Power”, and it carries real weight. The song sits last on the project, so it has to land the whole thing. Obhuti bendawo builds the record around that responsibility instead of treating it like filler.
The album dropped in 2026 through DistroKid, and “Uthathekile” stands as the sixth and final entry. The tracklist runs from “Emlanjeni” through “Ngiqome” and “Sitshakadula” before reaching this one. Mroza Fakude appears on the song, while the writing and production keep the closing mood tight and deliberate.
Obhuti bendawo works inside South Africa’s busy Maskandi space, where the competition never slows down. Other cuts like “Udumo” and “Inkumbulo” sit in his catalogue, but this album leans on structure over volume.
So how does the song actually sound? The delivery stays measured, and the subject matter gets handled with patience rather than force. Nothing gets rushed here, because the ending has to feel earned.
