Obiroyce Ent returns with “Igbo Amaka (Live Version),” a new single that places Igbo pride in front of the conversation. The songwriter keeps the sound rooted in the culture, and this one arrives with a guest voice beside him.
The song features Chidimma Onyemelukwe, who adds another layer of color to the performance. Her presence gives the live version a different feel from a straight studio cut, because two voices are carrying the melody instead of one.
Live recordings rarely get this much attention in the Igbo music space, yet Obiroyce Ent clearly sees value in the format. Fans of cultural sounds should find something here, since the record leans on heritage rather than chasing a trend.
It is also a fun tune to hear from start to finish. Everything fits together well, so listeners may find themselves replaying it long after that first play. The track adds fresh material to his growing collection.
