Nigerian skit maker and recording artist OGB Recent is back with a new two-song collection, and “Philipine Dey Pay” leads it. The record arrives as part of a small body of work rather than a full project. He pairs it with a second single called “Debit,” so listeners get two tracks to weigh side by side.
Both songs carry production from Boywithmagic, and that credit shapes how “Philipine Dey Pay” moves. The beat gives the record its lift, while the arrangement leaves room for both voices. OGB Recent handles his part as the skit maker turned recording artist, but Omebo Cartel steps in as the fast-rising music act on the feature.
The tone is bright from the first listen. It brings a grin to your face and makes you want to hear it again, which says plenty about how Boywithmagic built the beat. Nothing here asks too much of the listener. Instead, the record leans on a fun, easy groove that suits repeat plays.
