Caribbean-American duo R. City have linked up with Nigerian Afrobeats and R&B singer-songwriter Ayra Starr for a brand new song titled “Pray.”
The two acts joined forces for the record, and the result pairs R. City’s songwriting instincts with Ayra Starr’s Afrobeats and R&B pull. Production on “Pray” is handled by American record producers Dr. Luke and KBeazy, so the sound carries a polished, radio-facing finish.
R. City are known as a multi-skilled music duo, songwriters, and record producers, while Ayra Starr records under Mavin Records. That mix of Caribbean-American craft and Nigerian Afrobeats energy gives “Pray” an easy, reflective mood. It feels built for quiet moments and long drives.
Some listeners save every release they come across, while others keep only a few. Either way, “Pray” deserves a proper listen before you decide where it lands.
