Tunisian pop act Si Lemhaf has released a new record titled “Win bech Nouslou,” the second track on “Fatarat, Vol. 1.”
The title translates as “Where will we end up?” in Tunisian dialect. The song runs about two and a half minutes and blends Maghrebian pop with synth touches, building on the group’s guitar and electronic roots. The rhythm keeps a steady drive throughout.
Si Lemhaf began in 2009 with Mehdi Sghaier on vocals and Mondher Abdel Moula on guitar, both arriving from electronic music. A teddy bear mascot became their trademark. Sghaier sings in Tunisian dialect in a relaxed, conversational voice, treating the title as a question he is asking himself.
The group is known for poetic lyrics, and the question at the centre of the track is one the song leaves open. According to the report, the video became a trending hit on Tunisian YouTube.
