South African artist Snijavibes keeps his momentum going as he drops “Wezwa Ngobani” with Mpumi, Tee Jay and Yanii on board. The Amapiano record arrived in late October, and it leans on the vibrant, floor-ready energy that has become the genre’s signature.
Production keeps things moving from the first bar. Steady percussion carries the arrangement, while melodic touches let the track breathe without losing momentum. There is no attempt to slow things down or chase a crossover moment here.
What makes the collaboration work is how the voices sit together. Mpumi and Tee Jay share the vocal load with Snijavibes, but Yanii’s feature adds another layer to the mix. Nobody gets crowded out, and the beat stays in charge.
The release fits a pattern for Snijavibes, who has been building steadily in the South African scene. Pairing with established names like Mpumi and Tee Jay gives “Wezwa Ngobani” a wider reach than a solo drop might have. That kind of stacking suggests an artist who understands the value of shared space.
It does not reinvent Amapiano, yet it does what it sets out to do. So does the record land for you? Drop your take in the comments below.
