Ugandan singer Mesach Semakula has released a new record titled “WENDI (REMOTE),” a soft, melodic track built around a light percussion loop and fluttering guitar. The bracketed tag in the title hints at distance, and the song is presented as a love story with a little ache for Ugandan listeners.
Semakula brings his easy, melodic style to the record, according to the release. Nothing in the mix fights the voice, so the message stays clear. The arrangement stays restrained throughout, letting the percussion loop and guitar carry the mood without crowding the vocal.
That restraint suits the material. The song plays like a warm voice note at midnight, and the ache in the love story comes through without being pushed. Listeners who know Semakula’s melodic approach will find the same ease here, according to the release.
The song is available to stream on YouTube Music. A download link accompanies the release.
