Zim-linked act Release joins Tocky Vibes and Mugaratia on a street-flavoured new record titled “4MABABE.”
The song blends Zimdancehall and hip hop on one beat, so the mood stays tense from the start. A fast hi-hat pattern runs across the top, while Release opens with a hard, direct delivery.
His voice sounds hungry, but the bars still come quickly. Tocky Vibes, born Obey Makamure, enters with his easy, singing flow. Mugaratia answers with tighter rap lines, and Shona phrases add extra flavour.
Tocky Vibes is the Zimdancehall star behind “Mhai” and “Toti Toti.” Mugaratia brings a hip hop edge, and his “Pemurai Dzose” album shows his range. On “4MABABE,” the three voices play different roles, so the record never gets stale. Nobody fights for space, yet the energy stays high.
The lyrics seem to deal with hustle, pride and loyalty to the hood. That makes it a fitting soundtrack for the grind, whether you are chasing a goal or just moving through the city.
