Coconut Rootz returns with a gentle island fusion record, and “Take Me As Iam” deserves a slow listen from fans of acoustic warmth. The group keeps things simple here, but the result lands.
“Take Me As Iam” is a soft, soul-leaning track built around honest affection. Delicate guitar strums carry the opening, while shakers and a rolling bassline hold the groove steady. Ambient piano floats underneath, so the arrangement never feels crowded or rushed.
The vocals sit naturally inside the melody, and the pitch control stays tight throughout. Lyrically, the group settles on self-acceptance and the comfort of being loved without conditions. It is a quiet ask for sincerity, and the delivery sells it.
This is not a loud record, and it does not try to be. The slow-burning pace suits the mood, so the message gets room to breathe. It fits the wave of alternative and acoustic sounds pulling listeners who want feeling over noise.
