Coconut Rootz returns with a new island fusion record titled “Where My Heart Is,” building on the sound fans already know.
The song lands on the album Coconut Rootz, with Benson Ainebyona handling production and the group credited for vocals, composition and lyrics. It arrived on April 3, 2026, and it leans into Caribbean rhythm rather than chasing anything louder.
For anyone new here, Coconut Rootz comes out of the reggae scene in Malawi. That background explains the warm, unhurried feel of “Where My Heart Is.” Recent releases like “Sweet Love,” “My Everything” and “Don’t Make Me Guess” have kept the catalogue moving.
The arrangement is simple on purpose. Acoustic guitar, shakers and a rolling bassline carry the load, while soft keys drift underneath. Clean engineering gives every harmony room to breathe. It is a calm record, but it never drags.
Listeners waiting on something soulful from the group should find this one lands where they hoped. Does “Where My Heart Is” hit that mark for you? Share your take in the comments below.
