Helene Fischer and Florian Silbereisen closed the tenth anniversary Schlagerbooom with a live duet of “Schau mal herein” in Dortmund. The finale landed at the end of the Dortmund show, where roughly 20,000 fans watched and Das Erste and ORF 2 carried it live. Silbereisen hosts the event, yet he handed the closing number to the duet and then called every guest back on stage. So “Schau mal herein” worked as a thank-you to the whole Schlager family, not just a two-person performance. Fischer had already taken the stage for her new single “Warum”, a long medley of her hits, and word of her upcoming album “WIR”. Roland Kaiser, Andrea Berg, Ben Zucker, Kerstin Ott and Blümchen also performed, while Blümchen’s farewell drew plenty of attention. The two headliners go back to 2005, when Fischer made her TV debut beside Silbereisen. Fans call her the Queen of Schlager, and he has built Schlagerbooom into the genre’s biggest annual live event. That history gives “Schau mal herein” its weight. Did you catch the finale? Drop your reaction below.
