Rising act Morrisson has released a new love song titled “COS OF YOU,” a record built on a simple, direct romantic theme.
The title is slang for “because of you,” and the song’s lyrics credit love for every good change in life. Morrisson sings in a calm, honest voice and stays close to the melody, with the delivery thanking a partner without sounding dramatic.
The beat stays easy, carrying steady drums, a deep bassline and a few melody lines on top. Nothing crowds the vocals, so every word stays clear, and the pace suits slow dances and short drives home.
A few lines lift near the chorus, though nothing feels forced, and the repeated title makes the chorus easy to remember. Taken together, the record keeps things plain and sincere, and the plainness works.
