Omah Lay teams up with American rapper Gunna for “Back to Lagos,” a moody Afrobeats and hip-hop record on Clarity of Mind (Extended). The Nigerian singer and songwriter released the track on October 30, 2026, through Sire Records and Warner Records.
The song appears on the deluxe expansion of his sophomore studio album, Clarity of Mind. So this is not a loose single but an addition to an existing body of work. It also gives Omah Lay another cross-continental collaboration on the extended tracklist.
On “Back to Lagos,” both artists reflect on the pressures that come with success, wealth, and identity. The song uses Lagos as a symbol of home and personal grounding, even amid the demands of global recognition.
The production carries ominous basslines, atmospheric guitar melodies, and haunting choral elements. Omah Lay delivers his emotionally expressive vocals, while Gunna adds a smooth, melodic rap flow. The pairing gives the record an international feel.
