Ghanaian singer Enam is back with visuals for “Nku,” a spiritually charged record produced by K.C Beatz, and the clip is directed by Nani Sage. The pairing of producer and director gives the awakening message a full frame, so sound and image move together.
On the beat, K.C Beatz keeps the arrangement open and unhurried. Nothing crowds Enam’s voice, because the production leaves room for the message to sit. That restraint is deliberate, and it lets the record breathe instead of rushing it.
For newcomers, Enam is an Afro-spiritual artist from the Volta Region. Her sound draws from the YEWE Shrine, and she has built a catalogue around symbolism and presence. She also took home the 27TGMA26 Female Vocalist of the Year honour, which speaks to how seriously listeners take her craft.
The title translates to Eye or Awakening, so the concept carries real cultural weight. Enam calls the children of destiny back to the wisdom of the land. The video backs that up with on-screen translations, therefore viewers outside her language group still follow the message.
