Romanian rapper and singer Connect-R has released a new record titled “Fa-ti Talentu’! (Carmen),” featuring guest vocals from fellow Romanian artist Karmen.
Connect-R has been a presence in Romanian pop-rap for years, with hits including “Vara nu dorm” and “Tren de noapte.” He also represented Moldova at Eurovision in 2006.
The production follows his usual blend of trap drums, dancehall swing and pop flavor. According to the release, the beat carries a cocky pulse, and the bass stays round so both voices have room.
Connect-R opens with a smooth rap-sing flow and keeps it relaxed. Karmen steps in with a confident, playful tone. The lyrics lean on pride and self-belief, which fits the title.
The two voices keep the song lively, and it rolls along without dragging. It is built for radio and club speakers, though fans of his older hits will feel at home.
