Medi – Dobro ne ti zhelaya

Bulgarian pop-folk artist Medi has released “Dobro ne ti zhelaya,” a guitar-led breakup song that places heartbreak at its centre.

The song deals with the pain and disappointment that follow a split. Yorgos Kakosaios wrote the music, while Daniel Ganev handled the arrangement. Medi wrote the lyrics with Anastasia Mavrodieva. Yannis Perdikaris plays guitar and bass and also covers the live instrumental parts.

The rollout drew attention before the release. Medi posted cryptic messages that resembled private chats, filled with anger and broken trust. Fans began asking whether he was going through a real breakup. He never said whether the posts were genuine or part of the campaign.

Ivan Dimitrov, known as Torex, directed the video, which Georgi Markov shot. In it, Medi plays a heartbroken man, often with a guitar in hand and sometimes leaning on a car. Piano joins the guitar later in the track.

Medi also coaches on “The Voice of Bulgaria,” and his name already carries weight at home. According to the report, fan reaction has been positive since the premiere.
