Nigerian singer Fireboy DML has shared “LIGHT OF DAWN,” a brand new record lifted from his fifth studio album, ZUKO! The song arrives as the project’s October 2026 release takes shape, and Aifo and Nxrth handle production on it. Nxrth is no stranger to the singer’s world, because he worked on material from Adedamola before this. That history gives the pairing a settled feel rather than a rushed one.
ZUKO! carries thirteen tracks and pulls in Lojay, Masicka and Judah Earl as guests. “LIGHT OF DAWN” sits at the back end of that run, yet it still carries weight. The title points to the first arrival of daylight, which is an odd fit for an album built on personal change. But Fireboy has called this stage of his career a time of self-awareness, so the contrast works.
Across five albums, he has slowly dropped the romantic lyricism that first earned him attention. He signed with YBNL Nation back in 2018, and his catalog now moves between Afrobeats, R&B and pop. He still digs into personal experience, and listeners who grew up with him keep following.
